The Deputy Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, John Audu Kwaturu,
on Friday dumped the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, over
what he termed “Impunity”.
According to the lawmaker representing Kachia Constituency in the
State Assembly, APC had failed and failed his people, Southern Kaduna.
The Deputy Speaker, who confirmed the development to journalists on
Friday, said he cannot continue to remain in a party that had failed to
recognise due process.
He explained, “The ideology of fairness, equity and justice no longer exist in APC and that is why I had quit.
“But before I quit, l did communicate and discussed with the Deputy
Governor, Architect Bala Bantex and other party stakeholders in my local
government area, Kachia local government area.
”I also see no reason why I should remain in a party where my interest is not protected.
“So I decided to dump the party alongside thousands of my supporters, including my Ward Chairman .”
