Shehu Sani |
Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna central, has endorsed the
clamour for the appointment of security chief from South-eastern part of
Nigeria.
DAILY POST reports that South-East governors during their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari demanded for the appointment of Service Chief from the zone.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sani said the call for
South-East’s representation in the security high command is legitimate.
The Kaduna lawmaker said the country must live up to “its concord and spirit”.
Sani wrote: “South-east leaders demand for representation in the Apex
of the defence structure of the nation is legitimate. A federation must
live up to its concord and spirit.
“We must not be using merit in the day and federal character at night or merit for lunch & character for Dinner.”
