Muhammadu Buhari |
An All progressives Congress chieftain in Bauchi State, Nasiru Darazo,
has alleged that president Muhammadu Buhari shunned six Bauchi Emirs in
Aso Rock Thursday. He alleged that the Emirs were on the delegation of
governor Mohammad Abubakar to save democracy and people of the state.
Darazo said this while speaking to journalists on Friday in Bauchi.
He said Buhari’s refusal to entertain the Emirs who were on the
delegation of Governor Abubakar justified that the APC didn’t conduct
any primary election in the state.
” Yes, we learnt that all the six Emirs in Bauchi State led by Alhaji
Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu went to see president Buhari through a chartered
flight in order to lobby the president not to substitute Abubakar with
another person in 2019 since it’s confirmed that APC failed to conduct
primary election,” alleged Darazo
The APC chieftain described as shameful the involvement of
traditional and religious leaders in politics in recent times being
custodians of the people and culture.
He warned that any further attempt to foist Abubakar on Bauchi people beyond 2019 will be resisted as it’s unacceptable
” We believed Buhari has finally answered our people’s wish by
ignoring the Emirs coming to lobby for Abubakar’s re election,” he said.
According to him, APC may be counting on their loses if eventually, the party secures the guber ticket for Abubakar.
” Definitely Buhari will lose to the opposition if governor Abubakar is not dropped ahead of 2019,” Darazo added.
