Former
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFA) of the Federal
Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisaid Muse
Ali, recently paid a courtesy call on the President of the Pan-African Parliament,
H.E. Hon Chief Fortune Charumbira.
The
two leaders used the opportunity to exchange views on African security
challenges.
H.E. Hon Chief Charumbira disclosed that peace
and security in the continent will be a key feature on the agenda of the next
Ordinary Session of Parliament in October.
H.E. Ali is in South Africa
to deliver a lecture on “Strategies to address increasing security challenges
in Africa in the context of violent extremism” at the University of Pretoria.
