President Muhammadu Buhari |
An All Progressive Congress chieftain in Bauchi State, Alhaji Nasiru
Darazo has warned that President Muhammadu Buhari may not escape being
stoned in the state if the party insists on giving governor Mohammed
Abubakar the Guber ticket ahead of 2019 elections.
Darazo told DAILY POST exclusively in an interview on Monday in Bauchi
He said Buhari should also forget Bauchi votes in 2019 if eventually,
APC ignores all the complaints forwarded to it genuinely following
failed congresses and non-conduct of primary election in the state
recently.
” There is no way Bauchi citizens can vote president Buhari in 2019
election, unless governor Mohammed Abubakar is being substituted in
favour of any of the APC guber aspirants in Bauchi state because there
was no primary election held,” fumed Darazo.
The APC chieftain explained that gone are the days when politics of godfatherism was a determinant factor in PDP.
He said that Buhari and APC have given Atiku and PDP an advantage and
that the opposition will win if they finally give Abubakar the ticket.
” Let me assure President Buhari that APC had since lost to the PDP
in Bauchi state for failing to hold proper congresses as well primary
elections, ” added Darazo.
It would be recalled that there were series if streets protest in
Bauchi state by aggrieved APC aspirants who alleged that primary
elections were not held in the state.
However, the government had through its spokesman, Alsadig Dufi
denied such allegations and described same as a baseless rumour to aimed
at disparaging governor Abubakar’s good political name. (Daily Post)
