Senator Shehu Sani |
Senator Shehu Sani has defended his colleague and former fellow party
member Senator Bukkar Abba Ibrahim (APC Yobe Central) on comment that
President Muhammadu Buhari will be voted against in the North East come
2019.
Ibrahim, who is one of the frontline politicians and chieftains of
the APC from the zone, was quoted in Abuja at the weekend, as saying
that even massive rigging may not save Buhari from the imminent defeat.
The former Yobe State Governor was said to have made the comment
during the world-wide Internet Launch of his book ‘Poorlitics’ and 70th
Birthday celebration.
Ibrahim has since denied the newspapers reports. He claimed to have been quoted out of contest.
But reacting, Sani who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress,
APC, said Nigerians should “stop heckling or throwing stones on Senator
Bukar Abba Ibrahim.”
According to Sani, “He [Ibrahim] is just a meteorologist.
“All you need to do is to mind the weather and appreciate his forecast.”
