2019: APC Senator, Ibrahim attacks party, admits that things were now worse in Nigeria under the APC, government

Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim
Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, representing Yobe East has admitted that things were now worse in Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress, APC, government.

The former Governor of Yobe State made the declaration while stating that APC may not win the 2019 elections.

Speaking in Abuja over the weekend, the APC chieftain warned that if the party does not make amends, it will suffer defeat in 2019.

The lawmaker maintained that under the APC government, the country’s economy has gone down.

He called on the government to face the task of solving problems rather than blaming previous administrations “too much.”

He said, “Simply put, things have not changed, and many things are worse and the people are bitter. We should not assume that we can win even with massive rigging.

“There are just certain things that progressive parties do and must be seen to do. We must be seen to obey the rule of law.

“If the courts rule, we must obey. We must respect the separation of powers and let the legislature make its independent decisions.”
