Kenya Veterans for Peace engage Pan-African Parliament on peace and security in Africa

The Pan-African Parliament delegation to the African Union 5th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting, led by the President of the institution, H.E. Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira, met with Kenya Veterans for Peace (KVP). The meeting sought to explore collaboration on delivering long lasting peace on the continent.


The KVP is a group of retired military men and women who are working for peace in Africa. The Organization draws membership from the Retired Military Personnel in all sister services Of Kenya Defense Forces. They have played a major role in United Nations (UN)/Africa Union (AU) Peace Keeping, Peace Building, Security Operations, Anti-Human Trafficking Operations, Climate Change and Development Programs in various areas across Kenya , regionally and globally.

The engagement is in alignment with the Pan-African Parliament’s objective to promote peace, security and stability in Africa.
