The
Pan-African Parliament (PAP) has
announced the passing of Hon. Sylvestre
Naah ONDOUA, a member of the delegation of the Republic of Cameroon.
According
to a press release by the Pan African
Parliament Media Office, Hon. Ondoana
had been serving as a member of the PAP since October 2015.
The
75-year old Hon. Ondoua who until
his death, was the Vice President in the Senate of Cameroon, succumbed to an
illness on 12 January 2022.
“The
PAP extends, on behalf of Parliamentarians and the Secretariat, its condolences
to the family, the Senate of Cameroon and the Central African Regional Caucus
of the PAP”.
Hon. Ondoua was a member of the PAP Permanent Committee on Monetary and
Financial Matters, where he played a role in monitoring AU and PAP budgets as well as advising the
Parliament on economic, monetary and investment policies.
